Epoxy 400 Clear Fast Cure – Low-Viscosity, High-Performance Epoxy
Epoxy 400 is a low-viscosity, 100% solids resin system used for a variety of flooring applications, including high-build coatings, aggregate-filled flooring, and decorative epoxy pebble applications. This material cures blush-free and provides an outstanding balance of physical strength, flexibility, and chemical resistance.
Epoxy 400 offers excellent clarity for use over color quartz aggregate and decorative architectural concrete. The pigmented version features high pigment loading for superior substrate hide and color consistency when roller-applied. Its lower viscosity than most competitive products improves handling at cooler temperatures and provides exceptional troweling characteristics. The reduced viscosity also allows for the addition of fine silica fillers for easy application of “slurry” type floors.
A fast-cure hardener is available for cold-weather curing (down to 40°F) or accelerated room-temperature curing. A special hardener is also available for adhesion to damp concrete.
Epoxy 400 is versatile and ideal for use as a primer, finish coat, or aggregate binder in various flooring applications, including manufacturing facilities, warehouses, correctional facilities, and loading docks. However, it is not recommended for food processing areas, commercial kitchens, wineries, or areas with constant corrosive exposure. For these applications, Epoxy 600 or Epoxy 900 Novolac should be chosen instead.
