The VEO PV-12 is a super lightweight CNC machined Arca compatible open bridge video head that is designed for use with a travel tripod, with a maximum load capacity of 5kg that delivers a smooth fluid like movement, suitable for creating the most fluid video with any camera (or using with a spotting scope or long lens).

As an "open bridge" design it has one point of contact to save a little weight without compromising stability, as opposed to a traditional "closed bridge" video head which has the traditional two points of contact either side of the body (like on the VEO PV-10).

The head includes super compact Arca compatible QS-56P quick release plate to provide a secure base for your camera to attach to the head. This includes an adjustable thread and a non-twist spring pin that ensures your camera is always aiming true and not coming loose in use.

This allows you to fit your camera (or spotting scope or long lens) to the Arca compatible quick release system in seconds.  Simply slot the quick release plate into the clamp and tighten.  To remove, just loosen the clamp and lift out.

As this head includes an Arca compatible clamp, if your spotting scope or long lens has an Arca compatible foot, then it can fit directly into the clamp for the most solid fit possible.

When setting up, the head includes a spirit bubble that allows you to check your head is level.

In use, the head has a removable 215mm long handle which can be attached to the right hand hand side of the head.  This can then be loosened and folded up alongside your tripod for packing away.

On the side of the head is an oversized vertical locking knob that allows the head to be set at -75° to +90°. The speed of movement can be adjusted by adjusting the setting, giving you more control, and the head is counterbalanced to return towards the set level if released.

There is a separate 360° pan lock on the side of the base that allows you to rotate 360° or lock the head in place.

With a 40mm diameter base it is ideal for a travel tripod with a 1/4" thread (but can be used with any tripod with a 3/4" thread using the adaptor provided).
