The LVL-45 incorporates a universal levelling system that can be attached between the top of any tripod and the tripod head, to allow you to level your tripod in seconds on any terrain. 

This lightweight CNC machined 1/2 ball level weighs 140g and has a load capacity of 25kg, and is designed to tilt ±15° and rotate 360° using the one easy grip locking knob.  It also includes a clear spirit bubble to check that your tripod head and camera are perfectly level in seconds, whatever the terrain.

The level comes with a built in 3/8" thread in the base that is factory fitted with a 1/4" adaptor, ensuring that it will fit onto any tripod or monopod.  

That said, the base of this model is 45mm, so is designed to be attached to all but the smallest travel tripods, but other sizes are available. The number in the model name relates to the base diameter in millimetres (for example LVL-42 has a 42mm base).

On top of the level is a 1/4" thread which allows any tripod head (or camera with a 1/4" thread) to fit.

Larger heads with a 3/8" thread will need an adaptor, but this should be provided by the brand as standard. If the brand does not offer an adaptor, or you're using an older tripod where the adaptor has been lost, then you can click here to order a suitable 3/8" to 1/4" adaptor here.

To fit this levelling adaptor, simply:

1. Remove the tripod head from your tripod (please note that you may need to loosen the locking screws built into the top of the tripod);
2. Screw the adaptor onto the top of the tripod and tighten the locking screws to ensure a solid fit;
3. Screw the tripod head onto the adaptor then tighten the locking screws built into the 1/2 ball level using the 2.5mm hex key provided to ensure a solid fit.
