A unique hand-built vase inspired by orbiting moons around planets. The piece is built entirely by hand with a grey stoneware clay. Once it survived the first firing at 960C, I glazed with my matte white and lava glaze.
Another two days in the kiln, reaching 1240C, and the minerals in the glaze melted and fused with the clay to create this unique beauty.
The vase is functional and measures 25 cm in height
All the glazes are formulated and made by me.
The vase was featured in the exhibition "but is it ART?", at Kleistone Studio.
