The enchanting and mystical Camargue horses live in an area of marshland in the South of France, close to infamous Arles. Early on this misty morning, the first challenge of finding the horses was overcome fairly imminently. Adrenaline feeding the moment, a quiet excitement in the air undoubtedly mirroring in the horses’ own spiritedness.

A true sense of soul of the somewhat hostile mosquito-ridden expanse enveloped the cobweb-ridden heather with low-lying mist. The image is from a small series that captures the horses’ flighty spirits as Astrid's presence blended into the scene and true herd behaviour came into play.

Prints are available as editions of 10 unless otherwise displayed, plus 2 Artist Proofs.
