Experience Cover Design For Pieneta Fresco Gadget [clOZJs62]

Italian architect and designer Ettore Sottsass co-founded the underground psychedelic culture magazine Pianeta Fresco (Cool Planet) in the 1960s. With contributions from Timothy Leary, Paul McCartney, and others, the magazine promoted disarmament, civil rights, and psychedelic themes of liberation, exploration, and universal love. Only two issues were ever published.

Sottsass went on to found the Memphis Group in the early 1980s, a pioneering force in iconic postmodern design.

The original work is held by Drawing Matter, an organisation that explores the role of drawing in architectural thought and practice. We have collaborated with them to bring highlights from their extraordinary collection to a wider audience. Explore Drawing Matter here.
