CB500X LEVEL 1 Fork Kit (2019-2021 model years)

Our unique fork upgrade kit for the Honda CB500X significantly improves the overall performance when compared to the OEM fork characteristics.

This comprehensive kit completely replaces the OEM internal fork components, incorporating our own damper rods with shim-valving (significantly improving the damping response over a wide range of riding and terrain variations), together with our own dedicated linear-wound springs in a choice of two rates - standard and heavy-duty.

Designed to work best in conjunction with our CB500X LEVEL 1 Shock as a combined front & rear upgrade, but can always be fitted independently with either the standard shock or an aftermarket alternative as desired.

Note. Our LEVEL 1 front and rear suspension retains the travel/seat hight of the standard bike. If you would like increased travel and ground clearance, please choose the LEVEL 2 Suspension Kit option.

Tech spec

Springs: Linear-wound TracTive springs specifically for our application (in a longer length, which eliminate the 6” OEM plastic spacer), available in 2 spring rates, 5.0Nm (standard) & 5.5Nm, depending on rider and luggage weight.  

Note. For rider & light luggage up to 120kg the standard 5.0Nm fork springs are supplied, over 120kg please choose the 5.5Nm fork spring option from the menu above.

Dampers: In-house designed replacement damper rods with built-in compression shim stack valving to give progressive damping, together with a check valve for improved rebound control.

Fully serviceable and re-buildable.

Note. From 2016-2021, the CB500X comes with adjustable preload caps as part of the standard specification, which allows you to set your static and rider sag more accurately during the initial set up, and to make adjustments as required for different load and riding scenarios. Please watch our Sag Setting video for further information.

Spring rates

Fork springs available in 2 rates: 5.0N/mm (standard) and 5.5N/mm (stiffer).

note. in the case of rider & luggage over 120kg, please select the 5.5N/mm spring.

Important info

Note. The fork kit comes ready to fit - the only other item required is 1 litre of good-quality 10W fork oil, available from most local motorcycle stores.

Note. Our LEVEL 1 Fork Kit is designed to be a straightforward DIY fit, but does require some basic knowledge of fork disassembly and suspension work. If you do not feel able/or have the facilities to do this at home, we recommend you contact a suspension specialist to perform the work for you.
