A spade guinea pendant from the reign of King George III. Comprising a 22ct gold guinea featuring the spade design to the reverse and King George III bust to the obverse. The spade guinea was produced between 1787 and 1799 and were used as legal tender. Mounted as a pendant in a 9ct yellow gold frill mount, fitted with a loop bale allowing it to be worn on a chain up to 4mm wide.
CONDITION: Wear to the guinea has removed some detail including the date. A large proportion of the detail is still legible including the spade and king's bust.
Pendant Diameter: 35mm. Weight: 11.11g.
Mount hallmarked 9ct gold (375) Birmingham 1979.
