Harassment Defined (02:09)

The kids in this film are sharing their real experiences. Harassment is illegal and requires intervention. Harassment is unwanted behavior and can many forms. Its goal is power. Kids talk about rumors, racial and sexual slurs, and other harassment.

Racial and Sexual Harassment (02:15)

Kids discuss racial harassment they have experienced. Girls talk about sexual harassment and distinguish it from flirting. Kids talk about homophobia in schools.

Consequences (01:53)

Victims often cannot stop thinking about harassment or focus on other things. If someone feels harassed, he is right. Laws protect against harassment; know your rights.

Causes and Responses (02:20)

The need for mass acceptance or to make up for one's past harassment leads people to harass. Don't blame yourself if you are harassed. Document what happened and, in serious cases, go to the police.

Bystander Responsibilities (02:52)

Bystanders have a responsibility to speak up in cases of harassment. Go to an authority if necessary. Sometimes, victims' walking away does not work.

Build Tolerance (01:42)

Respecting differences is the key to preventing harassment; get to know people who are different from you. Confront discriminatory behavior.
