The stand is made from solid quarter sawn or rift sawn vertical grain oak and has a light golden oak finish.  The standard book shelf is 9 3/8" x 13 1/8".  It is pictured with an 8 3/4" x 5 3/4" x 1" Bible (closed dimensions) but will also nicely accommodate smaller or larger books. 

A larger 10 1/8" x 14 5/8" shelf is available as an option.
