DI802 Digital Input Module
Description
The DI802 is an 8-channel, 120 V a.c./d.c. digital input module for the S800 I/O. This module includes 8 digital inputs with an a.c. input voltage range of 77 - 130 V and an input current of 10 mA at 120 V a.c. The d.c. input range is 75 - 145 V with an input current of 2.8 mA at 110 V. Each input is individually isolated.
Every input channel consists of current limiting components, EMC protection components, an input state indication LED, and an optical isolation barrier. Channel 8 can be used as a voltage supervision input for channels 1-7. If the voltage connected to channel 8 disappears, the error inputs are activated, and the error signal can be read from the ModuleBus. This supervision can be enabled/disabled with parameter “a”. If the error inputs are disabled, channel 8 can be used as a normal input channel.
The input channels can be digitally filtered with selectable filter times of 2, 4, 8, and 16 ms. Noise pulses shorter than the filter time will be filtered out, while pulses longer than 3, 6, 12, and 24 ms will pass through the filter.
