Vintage 1980s "toi et moi" brooch featuring two round Cubic Zirconia intertwined together. The two CZ's are set in a 9ct gold setting. The brooch was hallmarked in Birmingham, England in 1987. 'Toi et moi' translates from French to 'you and me'. The piece has two closely intertwined stones, representing two souls becoming one. Cubic Zirconia is a manmade gemstone which simulates diamonds. During the 1970s CZ was used in fine jewellery and became a strong competitor for diamonds.
