Vintage 1930s brooch and pendant set in silver with shimmering marcasite stones. This beautiful brooch features a carved shell cameo depicting a lady with curls in her hair and a pearl necklace. The lady is slightly raised in an off white on a peach coloured background.
Cameo jewellery became very popular in the early 19th century cameos features Roman women. Victorian women on the Grand Tour brought home these pieces from places such as Italy and Greece.
