Xmas Gift Idea Mud Craters 5 With A 80% Price Cut [R6a0QCrg]

The other worldly look of raindrops falling perfecting into soft mud. This was taken on a magical 6 day solo rafting trip in the heart of the desert on the San Juan River. During late July I snagged a last minute permit for one of my favorite stretches of water, it was monsoon season and we had just gotten a lot of rain and the river was running high. On the last night I pulled into camp to find that there were these wonderful mud flats created from the flashing of the arroyo's that fed into the river. As I set up camp it started to rain from a small cloud overhead. It only rained about 30 seconds which created these perfect craters in the mud. I then set out to capture as many of these micro worlds that I could, careful to not get 20 inch deep mud footprints in any of my upcoming shots. Carefully placing my tripod above each section I wanted to photograph. Shooting straight down onto these scenes almost transported my to another world, getting lost in the details of Mother Earth and how fleeting these moments can be. Plus I love circles, they are everywhere in the universe.

A series of 7 is sure to capture the imagination with them all looking unique in their own way. Big drops, little drops, wet drops, the details showing how the mud is beginning to crack and display its abstract patterns as the cracks grow as the mud dries. The light and dark streaks of sediment in some transport me to almost a celestial place. Mud Craters 3 and 6 show the tracks of a bird - can you spot them? Truly a unique moment in time in the desert as it is replenished and nourished.
