Material: Cotton/linen blend

Details: Solid back. Finished with a cotton backing and closed with an invisible YKK zipper. The cushion is stuffed with an oversized down insert.

This pillow is inspired by chikankari, a traditional embroidery technique from Lucknow first introduced to India in the 16^th century. Translated, the word chikankari means embroidery (either thread or wire), and it harkens back to the Mughal empire, when Mughal rulers and their noble families nurtured the talents of skilled artisans and the art form flourished. The floral pattern seen here mimics traditional nature-inspired motifs, which included flowers, leaves, and birds. These textiles were traditionally crafted on white muslin fabric using white thread.
