This PoE switch is equipped with the Intellinet Powered Device Monitor (PDM), a "self-healing" PoE feature that enhances network reliability and stability. The PoE watchdog performs PD-Alive checks for all connected devices, automatically resetting non-responsive devices such as PoE cameras by interrupting and then restoring power. This feature is particularly useful in applications where connected devices are crucial for the network, such as in industrial or surveillance scenarios. The PD Alive function also helps prevent costly on-site service visits by restarting non-responsive devices, often bringing them back online without the need for technical support.
