We were equally blown away by Ceritas’ Carex Chardonnay as we were by their Chloe Pinot Noir. Sourced from the sandy soils of the Carex vineyards, the Chardonnay vines were planted metre by metre to yield tiny pea-sized berries, which has resulted in a wine of incredible depth and concentration.

Following fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine was aged for 12 months in new and used French oak barrels, further enhancing its complexity.

Focused and precise, the Carex Chardonnay has a delicate tension with lovely notes of citrus zest, pear, apple blossom, wet stone, and crushed rocks.
