This half-day course is designed for school leaders in schools likely to have an ungraded (Section 8) inspection. With Ofsted no longer carrying out deep dives on these inspections, the course will bring school leaders up-to-date with the latest messages from Ofsted and explain what a typical inspection will now involve. This will enable school leaders to ensure they are well prepared for the process and able to show the work of the school in the best possible light. The course will cover implications for self-evaluation, key information to consider, how other members of SLT can be prepared for their involvement in the inspection process and the key messages from training for inspectors.

The session will address the following:

• What has changed for Ungraded inspections and what can we learn from the handbook and recent inspector training?

• If inspectors are not carrying out Deep Dives, what will they focus on?

• What are the implications for school leadership teams?

• What information should school leaders ensure they have ready?
