Sigma are a UK manufacturer producing a range of fire, security and safety products. They are designed to help in the prevention of vandalism, misuse and accidental activation of fire alarm systems.

The Smart+Guard is a tough polycarbonate hinged protective cover that can easily be installed over a range of emergency switches and other devices. In its standard red form it is commonly used to protect fire alarm call points but other colours are available, such as green for emergency door release controls, or yellow for gas controls.

It can be surface or flush mounted depending on requirements and spacers can be added retrospectively if needed. The Smart+Guard can also be fitted with an integral battery powered alarm, that when lifted emits an ear piercing 90dB pre-alarm, warning the user that the device is for emergency use only and should not be tampered with. A break seal can also be fitted to increase the visable detterance against misuse
