Dark green cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on spine and small gilt illustration on front. Covers have a few tiny marks to front and back and slight wear to extremities, else clean and intact, binding tight, sharp tips. Pages have light age toning, else pristine and intact. Included are a few decorative illustrations in black-and-white and sienna and white by John DePol (1913-2004), an American printmaker and wood engraver. Back colophon: "From hand set types, 250 copies of this book printed on an 8x12 C&P Platen Press by James Lamar Weygand at the Private Press of the Indiana Kid, in Nappanee, Indiana. Finished July, 1961. Illustrations & printers mark engraved on wood by John De Pol." A comedic play by George Ade (1866-1944), an American author and playwright perhaps best-known for his humorous writings and use of slang in character dialog.
