This is some truly gorgeous artwork! HAND PAINTED! The artwork of the background was created using gouache on heavy paper and then taped to 100% rag, Crescent illustration board (at the corners). This is the gorgeous background for a page from the storybook of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. At this point, illustration was going digital just like animation - so these backgrounds would be scanned in and paired with the digital characters. But this comes with a nice photocopy of the character of Dopey as he would eventually appear on the printed page as well!

There is masking tape on the top of both. The background measures approximately 11 1/4" x 13 1/4". Also some of the corner tape holding the illustration to the board has come off. There is a bit of a ripple to the tops and bottoms of the paper.
