This fanfare and theme is a tribute to the campers and staff, past and present, of Star Lake
Musicamp in Bloomingdale, NJ. Many of these musicians have gone on to become luminaries of The Salvation Army and of the wider world of music. The piece takes musical motifs from the “Camp Pep Song” (Ruby Holz) and the world famous “Star Lake” march (Eric Ball), combines them, and sets them in a distinctly American style.
