By combining mineral and organic raw materials like pumice, expanded clay, lava, and compost, our substrates create optimal conditions for plant growth on flat and sloping roofs.

Product Specifications

This high-quality substrate is perfect for extensive green roofs with slopes up to 17°. Its composition includes expanded clay, lava, pumice, bark compost, and leaf compost. The dry density ranges from approximately 950 kg/m³ to 1500 kg/m³ when wet. It boasts high water retention capabilities, promoting the growth of drought-resistant plants like Sedum. For optimal Sedum planting, a substrate depth of about 7-10 cm is recommended. A drainage layer is required for slopes under 3°. This product is FLL-certified, adhering to the guidelines of the Research Society for Landscape Development and Landscape Construction (FLL). Available in packaging units of 0.35 m³, 0.5 m³, 0.7 m³, and 1 m³ Big Bags for easy handling.
