Complete Xl Base Connector Series [8AY4Sah2]

The Complete Xl Base Connector Series [8AY4Sah2] is designed to increase the overall height and rigidity of your Kewlus, making it ideal for taller or larger fighters. Just like the original Base Connector is made from a tough, fibre-composite material used in high performance car engine components. Designed to be used as a taller and more rigid base mount for the Kewlus in conjunction with the Click Mast (sold separately or as part of a kit), it is fully compatible with the Platform Paddles and the OctaBase.

Please Note: Unlike with the original Base Connector, with the XL version the Mast does not click into holes, but rather wedges in tightly. This is specifically designed to lock it in place, then after tightening the steel clamp (included) around the collar, making for a very rigid connection between the base and the mast.

The Complete Xl Base Connector Series [8AY4Sah2] incorporates a 50mm diameter top section onto which you can place one or more Olympic weight plates. To ensure good stability the weight plate(s) should be supported by the sandbags, so placing them on top of the sandbags is the way to go.

Screws are not included with the Base Connector as the length and type of the screws will depend on the thickness and type of platform that you use. For screwing into a concrete floor you will need long screws with plugs. For most types of base connections I recommend getting screws that are at least 1.5 inches long.

If you need to pre-drill pilot holes to attach the base, use the base itself or use this Base Connector PDF template file as a template for marking the holes. Important note: make sure to print at 100% scale or the holes will not line up.
