HomeShops is proud to present the AGR 5532 Rapido PC&F 5317 50' Single Door Box Car, a Limited Edition HO-Scale model that captures the essence of the iconic Allagash model railroad. This exquisite car is the second in our Allagash series, following the highly successful Tangent PS-4427 covered hopper. Designed by Mike Confalone, who made Allagash famous through his inspiring Facebook posts, this model is a testament to the beauty and craftsmanship that defines Rapido Trains.

Unmatched Craftsmanship and Detail

The AGR 5532 Rapido PC&F 5317 box car is a perfect representation of the "As Built" 1979 PC&F box car. It is meticulously painted to match the freelance model railroad Allagash, ensuring an authentic look and feel. This model is a highlight of the Incentive Pier Diem era, a time when shortlines bought large numbers of cars for favorable car hire rates. The distinctive "Berlin Mills Boxcar" paint scheme and flat roof make it stand out among other IPD boxcars from the late 70's. Here are some of the key features that set this model apart:

• Accurately scaled from prototype measurements and photos for precision

Additionally, the car comes with full underbody brake rigging and detail, three door styles as appropriate for each fleet, separately applied coupler cut levers, and separate door tracks. The factory-installed Rapido semi-scale knuckle couplers and newly tooled 70 ton trucks with turned metal 33” wheels complete the package, providing a level of detail that is truly unmatched in the HO scale market.
