We have always loved the Datejust , this is an early example with a “semi bubble back “ case.

The caseback is just a bit thinner then its predecessors” Ovettones “ and just a bit thicker then later Datejust References .

This ref is only made from 1956 till 1959 and this is an example in steel with a no-cyclops glass added to give maximum clean cool look !

The steel case remains in strong condition. We love the unusual bezel which alternates smooth and reeded sections. The matte grainy silver dial has cool elegant hour markers and radium lume on the dial and in the leaf hands. The date is a roulette version with red even numbers and black odds. This cool DJ comes on a folded link Jubilee braclete, reference 6251h, with a clasp stamped ‘2 61’ and 50 endlinks. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker

The Datejust is a very interesting watch for collectors with many different versions , and this one looks very cool and “dreamy “somehow , we LOVE it !
