For some of us, we are the only ones who will ever know how close we came to not being here. The intimate knowledge that we once were close to choosing an end isn’t easily shared. Regardless of the circumstance, we celebrate our ability to show up an and be present. Perhaps to therapy, that dreaded doctor’s appointment or workout class. Or maybe to that first day of class, family dinner or that AA meeting.
