Antique cast iron trivet. Original Victorian cast metal sad iron trivet made for the centenary of the American revolution in 1876. Cast with the portrait of George Washington this patriotic trivet is a great antique collectable that has survived remarkably well considering its age and the fragility of cast iron.

This early heavy trivet is unmarked anywhere unlike the later reproductions. The 4" medallic portrait of Washington has signs of ware as expected on the high relief image.

Antique trivet measures 9.75 inches long by 4.5 inches wide by 1.1 inch tall and weighs 1lb 9 oz.
