Antique pair of ninth plate daguerrotypes in Littlefield,Parsons and co daguerrotype case. The pair are apparently related, perhaps husband and wife whose names are Jaburn and Sally B Sawyer jr. The images are color tinted ever so slightly to show their happy countenance. This piece dates to the civil war era and is in great condition inside and out. The internal matting and frame are in keeping with the decorative scrolling foliage of the outer thermoplastic (gutta percha) case which is equally beautiful.

Marked inside: Littlefield, Parsons & Co Daguerrotype with the names of both people respectively

This would make a great addition to your rare photographs collection.
