Lotus Plant Description

Da Jin Bain Lotus (Large Brocade Edge Lotus) has a remarkable, white lotus flower that is sublime! The multi-petaled lotus flowers are lush and lovely paired with the emerald-green foliage of this lotus plant. The buds on this lotus plant are green tipped with pink, and 1st day blooms have a subtle blush over the sacred lotus flower. Multiple, white lotus flowers throughout the summer on Da Jin Bain Lotus!

Lotus Planting Instructions

Plant your sacred lotus in a wide, shallow container (14 - 24 inches wide) using loam soil. Fill your lotus container 2/3 full of loam soil. Dig a shallow trench on the surface of the soil and place your sacred lotus tuber in the trench. Take care not to break or damage the growth tips. Cover all but the growth tips with an inch of soil and gently add 3 - 4 inches of water above the soil. Place your sacred lotus container in a sunny area outdoors (8 - 12 hours of sunlight daily). Do not fertilize your lotus plant until you have aerial leaves growing out of the water.

Lotus Fertilizing Instructions

Fertilize your lotus plant once each month, from June through September with Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs. Your last fertilizer application should be in early September as this will allow your sacred lotus to go into dormancy naturally. Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs are great for optimum growth of your lotus plants, best bloom on your lotus flowers and are easy to use. Simply press the fertilizer tabs into the soil near the root of your lotus plant, taking care not to damage the roots.
