Our 30/1 Muga silk is a lace-weight yarn spun from waste cocoons. It has a rustic look and has slubby texture. Unlike the fine-grade Muga Filament silk, which is glossy, shiny, and smooth, this yarn is totally the opposite. It has an earthy vibe with a matte, subtle golden color.  While Muga silk has a natural golden color and does not need any dyeing, it is still quite compatible with most dyes and absorbs dyes quickly. 

Assam has been well-known for Muga silk production since ancient times. Muga silk is glossy, finely textured, and durable. Muga silk absorbs natural dyes quickly.
