A member of the Indestructible Handle series, the Explore Estwing 8 Lb. Soft Face Head, 24" Length Indestructible Handle Sledge Hammer Trial Pack [f5b9TAWm] has its handle manufactured with the patented Indestructible® technology. This handle is made from 6 premium steel bars covered with vulcanized rubber, absorbing impact and vibration while protecting the user in the event of striking an electrical wire. The handle weighs more than the hammer head,* allowing to apply double the torque on any struck surface.

The forged hammer head is induction hardened then tempered to 30 HRC, making it a soft head to prevent damage to struck objects. This soft face sledge hammer is commonly used in industries such as Construction, Agriculture, Automotive, Overground Mining, and Railroad, as well as the maintenance of cutting tools.
