Hidden Gem Moses Breaking The Tablets – Dore 2.0 Edition [tkMcKRyJ]

The Old Testament prophet, Moses, is shown breaking the two stone tablets which had the Ten Commandments written on them. Moses had recently received these tablets from God on Mount Sinai, only to come down from the mountain and see his people worshiping a golden calf. Upset by the Jews' idolatry, Moses broke the tablets in a moment of anger, which is what we see here emphasized with a bolt of lightning, in this black and white image by G. Dore.
