This is a museum quality vintage Navajo inlaid thunderbird silver squash blossom necklace. This remarkable piece is one of the finest thunderbird pieces we have collected all year as it consists of 12 stunning large inlaid thunderbird squashes. The inlay consists of turquoise and coral stones with surrounding silver carvings to give each bird amazing detailing. Resting at the bottom is a wonderful large inlaid thick silver naja pendant that measures around 3" X 2-1/4". Resting throughout the entire necklace are amazing round silver beads with a traditional silver clasp. I love how every single squash blossom as well as the naja pendant consist of the artists hallmark. Sterling silver. Cir. 1960's/ 70's. Signed by Navajo artist, Charlie John. The length of the necklace measures around 32". Sturdy 221 grams.
