This is a museum quality vintage Navajo turquoise and silver concho belt. The leather belt contains outstanding sun and wave stampings running throughout the entire belt. What I really love about this magnificent belt is that it contains thick and sturdy large silver conchos, a total of 12 conchos. 6 of the conchos are wonderful large butterfly shaped while the other 6 are large oval shaped silver conchos. Located on the larger conchos are superior large chunky Red Mountain turquoise stones that measure around 3/4" X 1/2". The silver works located throughout the conchos and buckle include bordering sun stampings, channel works, and repoussed shells. The larger conchos measure around 3-1/2" X 3". The large incredible rectangular shaped silver buckle measures around 3-1/2" X 3" also and contains 6 more beautiful large chunky Red Mountain turquoise stones. The old natural patina situated throughout the entire concho belt is absolutely incredible and just stunning. Signed by Navajo artist, Joe Sanchez Acoma. Sterling silver. Cir. 1970's+. This belt will fit a waist size between 34-1/2" and 40-3/4". Sturdy 604 grams.
