This is a museum quality vintage Navajo large chunky turquoise silver concho belt. This remarkable belt contains 10 outstanding handmade chunky and thick silver conchos that each measure around 2-3/8" X 2". Located in the center of each concho is a large Royston turquoise stone that measures around 1/2" X 3/8". The accenting silver works on each concho are beautiful consisting of plant patterns, slanted zig zag patterns, bordering teepee patterns and center repoussed shells. The large buckle contains 9 more outstanding chunky turquoise stones with the center measuring around 1" X 1/2". I absolutely love the shape of that wonderful 3" X 2-5/8" buckle. I absolutely love how the artist placed leather pieces behind each of the conchos for a more sturdy fit. Signed by Navajo artist, GY. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. This belt will fit a waist size between 31" and 36" (we can add a longer belt if needed). Sturdy 407 grams.
