This is a marvelous vintage Navajo very large turquoise and coral silver buckle. This phenomenal buckle consists of a large single chunky turquoise stone that appears to be from the fascinating Blue Diamond turquoise mine. The surrounding silver works on this bolo is absolutely mind blowing consisting of flowers, detailed large leaves, and thick silver ropes. The thickness of those ropes is just fascinating. I absolutely love the size of this large silver buckle, it measures a whopping 5-1/2" X 3-5/8" and can fit a belt width of about 1-3/4". Such a remarkable buckle. The center stone measures around 1-1/2" x 1". Sterling silver, marked. Signed by Navajo artist, Tom Odatey. Cir. 1970's+. Sturdy 251 grams.
