This is a magnificent vintage Navajo large single stone silver shield pendant necklace. This remarkable necklace contains a wonderful large bottom shield shaped silver pendant that measures around 2-3/4" X 2". Located in the center of the shield shaped silver pendant is a marvelous shield shaped spiderweb matrix turquoise stone that measures around 1-1/8" X 3/4". Surrounding the stone is a wonderful thick silver rope. Surrounding the silver pendant are large sun stamped silver fan patterns. This necklace contains a wonderful silver link chain with a traditional silver clasp. Sterling silver. Cir. 1970's+ . Handmade by Navajo artist, Tim Yazzie . The length of the necklace measures around 27-1/2". Sturdy 42 grams.
