Each earring measures just under approximately 13/16 of an inch, or about 20.5 millimeters, high. The top of each earring is about 7/16 of an inch, or approximately 11.1125 millimeters, wide, the bottom measures abou 9/16 of an inch, or 14.2875 millimeters, wide. Each earring is just over about 1/4 of an inch, or approximately 6.5 millimeters, thick. (Included you'll find a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Stamped on both of the posts, "925". Stamped on the back of one earring, "RA", with another partial stamp below the signature. One clutch is marked, "925 DF", the other is stamped, "STG". The front of the card reads, "Sterling silver". The back has a handwritten price in pencil reading, "75-". Combined weight is approximately 8.05 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
This is a new pair of earrings on their original card, with a handwritten price of $75.00 on the back. Probably purchased as a gift and never given, they were stored long enough to become tarnished. The card appears undamaged, except for a bit of lint. No visible dings or dents, but these are handcrafted and will not be perfectly identical, symmetrical, nor machine-perfect in any other sense. One tiny hole found in the opal inlay on one earring, only visible with a 10X loupe, with no cracks or chips. One post is straight, one has a slight bend. The clutches fit and hold well, but are not identical.
A very striking and unique pair of handmade vintage Navajo Sterling silver, opal, and onyx inlay earrings. Perfect size, tons of style,and amazing contrast and color play. These earrings are much more beautiful in person. The camera did them no justice.
