Edmond Lachenal (1855-1948), a wonderful Art Deco turquoise blue volcanic glazed ceramic vase, circa 1930, in wonderful antique condition. Edmond Lachenal was considered an innovator and a pivotal figure in the Art Nouveau Ceramic Art Circle. In 1899 at the World's Fair in Paris, Lachenal was awarded a gold medal. His works are displayed in the Louvre and the Metropolitan Museum of Art and other galleries & museums worldwide. This rare Edmond Lachenal turquoise blue volcanic grackle-glazed ceramic vase having a 'bottle' shaped neck with a circular body and raised upon a gently flared foot, signed on the bottom "LACHENAL Made In FRANCE". Condition is very good indeed, no damage or restoration.
