A real champ of a drum! This 5x14" Gretsch Junior Professional has been around for 80-years, and looks and sounds great. Six, single tension, floating thumb rods. This drum is a rarity at 100% original, including wound snare wires and calfskin heads. Also includes the original canvas bag! The drum does display typical cosmetic symptoms of its age—some crackling of the painted finish, light pitting around the chrome, and some head cracking around the flesh hoops—but on the whole performs well and does not seem delicate at all. A very round, articulate attack; and dry tone, with some sparkle on the top end nonetheless. A very affordable way to expand your sound palette too!
