19th Century Rococo Style Gilt Bronze Chenets (Andirons). Beautifully made with heavy cast bronze acanthus leaf design. 14 inches tall, 9 inches wide and 21 inches deep.

Matching pair, each stamped "507" and marked left or right. Most likely French export. With original "L-brackets" with brass covers and unusual turned brass legs with floral finials.

Excellent condition, patina and spotting, some loss of gilt finish. Cast iron supports with expected corrosion with age but solid.
