Large, WWII era, convex, embossed, enameled metal sign for Kolínská Cikorka, a Czech coffee substitute beverage. Made around 1939. Features the company's logo with a brown and white bird. Width 19 3/4 inches x height 9 1/2 inches.

Overall good condition, great blue and white enamel. Some rust, particularly along edges and at left corners, along with small chips.

Kolínská Cikorka coffee substitute originated in 1894 when its predecessor, Kolínská Továrna, was first produced in Ljubljana. It was later produced by Cikorka, and sold throughout the Austro-Hungarian empire. The company ceased operations in the 1950s when the business, like many others in the former Czechoslovakia was nationalised and became part of Čokoládovny, a giant confectionery concern.
