This adapter features a starter section for smooth (raw) collar outlets, and it is designed to slide inside the boiler outlet, with a 3/16" roll formed bead that acts as a stopping point and closes any gaps for a tight seal. To further secure the connection, a worm drive clamping ring is provided for certain types of "tabbed" outlets.
