Inspired by the Ikon, the MAXXIS Rekon tire 27.5x2.40 WT Exo 3C MaxxTerra Tubeless Ready with flexible rod is, like it, designed for competition Cross-Countrybut is designed for highly technical terrain requiring greater grip and control. Its higher lugs are also larger and less numerous than those of the Ikon.

Featuring a flexible 60 tpi carcass, this version is fitted with the triple tread compound. MaxxTerra offering an excellent compromise, with better traction and more grip than the MaxxSpeed, and superior performance to the MaxxGrip.

In this version Tubeless Ready version, which can be fitted with or without an inner tube, this tire is also equipped with Exo reinforcement in the sidewalls, providing additional protection against abrasion and tearing. What's more, the carcass has been optimized for mounting on a 35 mm internal width rim.
