The Rubes iHORN is made from a brass Rubes horn which was mounted on a Model T.  The oval shaped mounting bracket which bolted to the firewall indicates that the horn was made between 1914 and 1915.  The Rubes horn was connected to a bulb which was inside the cab of the Model T and was squeezed to emit the horn noise.  As originally constructed, the opening of the horn had a screen which kept foreign particles from entering the horn.  Rubes horns are highly collectible and valued in the vintage automobile collector market.

The Rubes iHorn is part of the industrial revolution and early Americana.  It is historic in the manner in which it contributed to the automotive experience.
