This is a rare silk chiffon peignoir set dating to 1939 custom made in France by the French couture house, Chevette. Included in this set is a beautiful silk chiffon bias cut nightgown with French chantilly lace and it comes with it's original matching chiffon robe. 

Lingerie made today could never match the quality and beauty of the original ones that were made in the 1930s. So much attention to detail went into making these beautiful garments, which were originally custom made for women to wear on their first wedding night. Look through the photos to appreciate the design and construction that went into making this incredibly perfect set. Beautiful silk charmeuse details accent at the necklace and bust, while the gathering is done with intense detail. Puffy sleeves on the robe are accented by satin and chantilly lace cuffs.
