"From a great site in the Edna Valley that readers should have on their radar, the 2021 Syrah Slide Hill Vineyard is 100% Syrah raised in 50% new French oak. It has a beautiful nose of gamey red and black fruits as well as peppery herbs, violets, and iron. This carries to a medium to full-bodied Syrah with a layered, concentrated mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It's beautifully done and a terrific, classic cool climate Syrah that will evolve for 10-12 years, if not longer."
