Weavers in the town of Arak, Iran, diligently hand knotted the carpet c. 1930's.

As for condition, the rug was professionally washed in September, 2024, and stored carefully afterwards. The colors and design show beautifully. The wool pile and foundation are wonderfully soft and supple, not brittle. The lustrous wool pile is in decent shape overall, but worn in a number of spots, as shown in the photos.
