A solid eighteen carat yellow gold and faceted sapphire bracelet with leaf design. This is a beautiful and intricately made piece.  Each leaf design represents a link in the bracelet. They are all hinged from the inside in the back of the bracelet, and each hinge allows the bracelet to move a little, providing a little flexibility. It can be completely laid flat, once opened.

The bracelet is marked "18k", and there is also an 18k mark stamped into the tongue with a losenge mark with makers initials.  The bracelet is also hand engraved with Van Cleef & Arpels "VCA France" maker mark.  There is also its unique stamped inventory number.

During this period in the brand's history there were a number of pieces made in America as the growing demand for their jewellery outpaced what could be make solely in the French workshop.

The cuff, when opened up and laid flat measures just over seven inches in length, and at its widest is 0.65 inches wide. In theory it could be sized by removing a link.  As one would expect from one of the world's leading jewellers, the bracelet is exceptional quality, and is presented in perfect condition, with no condition issues and very little signs of wear. There is an original card from the VCA store in Beverly Hills, on headed card, that explains the piece, which will be presented with the bracelet upon purchase.
